A historic castle complemented by pastel pink blossoms

Komakiyama Castle is a small but historically important castle and the first built by Lord Oda Nobunaga, later becoming a site of the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute.
During the Cherry Blossom Festival when Mt. Komaki is covered in light pink floral hues, the cherry blossoms are illuminated into the night and the area is decorated to resemble the headquarters of Lord Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute for a distinguished touch to the festivities.

Outdoor tea party
Get off your feet and enjoy the surrounding cherry blossoms over a cup of tea.

Mt. Komaki Cherry Blossom Festival's Fencing Contest: Battle of Komaki and Nagakute
• Times:
 First session: From 10:00 am (Reception available from 9:00 am. Participant capacity of 200 people, ages 5 and older.)
 Second session: From 1:00 pm (Reception available from 12:00 pm. Participant capacity of 100 people, elementary school ages and younger.)
 Third session: From 3:00 pm (Reception available from 2:00 pm. Participant capacity of 200 people, ages 5 and older.)
Applications taken from 11:00 am; Mon, Mar 10, 2025 through the official application form (Japanese)

Warring States Workshops
• Reception: 10:00 am–4:00 pm the day of (final reception available until 3:30 pm)

Try your hand at tossing ninja stars.

Mountaintop teahouse
Enjoy sweet and salty mitarashi skewered rice cakes with a cup of tea. Japanese sweets are specially available for purchase on Sat, Apr 5 and Sun, Apr 6, 2025.

    20-min. walk west from Komaki Station on the Meitetsu Komaki Line.
    • Either board from Heian-dori Station on the Meijo Subway Line (reachable from Nagoya Station on the Higashiyama Subway Line to Sakae and a change to the Meijo Subway Line in the clockwise direction) (39-min. ride).
    • From Meitetsu Nagoya Station, take the Inuyama Line train bound for Inuyama, then change trains at Inuyama Station to the Komaki Line (51-min. ride).
