Mama Kannon Temple
A temple devoted to... Well, breasts
Mama Kannon Temple, formally known as Ryuonji Temple, was built in 1508. It is colorfully known as the "Breast Temple" and is the only of its kind in Japan. The reason for the nickname is the fact that it is said to offer divine aid in breast feeding and even developing breasts. Worshippers also visit to pray for the chance to become pregnant, safe child birth, and raising children.
