Japan's national sport of sumo held in Nagoya

Sumo wrestling is the national sport of Japan and held with six tournaments around Japan a year. One of those tournaments is held every July in Nagoya. For 59 seasons, the Nagoya tournament had been held at the Dolphins Arena (Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium), but this year the IG Arena (Aichi International Arena) takes its place as the new venue.
Each tournament continues for 15 days with wrestlers competing from each stable in round-robin format for a fight to take the title based on the total number of wins and losses.
