Eleven Days of Belgian Beer, Delicious Food, and Lots of FUN!

In case you don’t know, Belgium is a great place for beer: despite its small size when compared to other European countries, it’s got 200 breweries that make about 1,500 different kinds of beers! Beer culture in this little country is so culturally important that in 2016 UNESCO registered Belgian Beer as an Intangible Cultural Heritage! In order to bring those precious elixirs for the delight of the Japanese people, the Belgian Beer Weekend event is held in several cities across Japan and, when it comes to Nagoya City, it takes place in the heart of the city in Sakae. This year the event will feature over 90 different labels.

Inspired by the original Belgian Beer Weekend, which takes place annually in September in Brussels, capital of Belgium, the place changes to Japan, but the experience of tasting exquisite brews, delicious food and having plenty of fun is pretty much the same!

*: Japan Law only allows liquor consumption for people ages 20 or older and prohibits DUI (driving under the influence).
