A traditional acrobatic martial art passed down through the ages
Bo no te is a form of folk acrobatic martial arts where two participants swing bows or other weapons at each other while ducking and weaving to avoid the other's advances. The art is practiced at village festivals and has been passed down among various communities in the prefecture of Aichi.
On the third Sunday of October every year, Tanuki Shimmeisha Shrine holds its bo no te performances, designated a prefectural intangible folk cultural property.

- Access by public transport
- From the bus platforms at the west side of Nishio Station on the Meitetsu Nishio Line (board the Meitetsu Nagoya Line bound for Kira Yoshida Station from Meitetsu Nagoya Station or come by switching trains at Shin Anjo Station if coming from Chiryu and Toyohashi), take the Rokumangoku Kururin Bus's Heisaka–Nakabata Line, get off at Nakabata Elementary School North and walk 4 min. north.
