Hekinan City Tatsukichi Fujii Museum of Contemporary Art
A marriage of modern and traditional
The Hekinan City Tatsukichi Fujii Museum of Contemporary Art was born from the former chamber of commerce and industry building completed in 1980 after additions and renovations. The exterior is made up of glass, giving a transparent appearance, as well as black tiles for a modern feel, while blending in seamlessly with the surrounding historic townscape at the same time. The establishment is even winner of the 16th Aichi Townscape Architecture Award and Best Reform class of the 19th BELCA Award.
