One of Japan's foremost manufacturers opens its doors via a miraculous museum

Mizkan is one of Japan's leading vinegar producers, and displays all its glory in hands-on fashion at the MIZKAN MUSEUM (MIM). A sense of yesteryear remains throughout the area with the age-old black walls lining the canal the museum sits along as well as inside the museum with Mizkan's enduring brewing techniques and traditional culinary culture's history and appeal available for all to see.

Note:
• Two courses available reservation only. Make your reservation from the MIM Reservation page (external link).
• Numerous programs and events are also available at MIM Hall. Details available from the MIM website.

Travel throughout five distinct exhibition zones

MIZKAN MUSEUM (MiM) / Handa Canal

The museum is split up between five exhibition zones. Walk along the path Mizkan has taken from the Edo period to the present day, learning about its brewing techniques in the Room of Earth. Take a trip back in time gazing at retro photos representing Handa City—where the museum resides—as it once was at the Gallery of the Wind. Or watch how Mizkan grew through revolutions and challenge in the Room of Time. The Water Theater gives guests insight into ingredients through the four seasons as well as life and its tie to the beauty of nature. And of course, a hands-on approach offers education on food the fun way thanks to the Park of Light's bright and expansive setting.
