Igetaya Park
(Igetaya Koen)
Nishio is famous for the production of matcha, or powdered green tea, and this park features facilities that are characteristic of the city. Within the park is a matcha-colored postbox called the “Omotenashi-Magokoro Postbox,” which can't be found anywhere else in Japan. There’s also a park faucet in the shape of a tea whisk and benches that resemble those used in an outdoor tea ceremony. This compact little park is perfect for taking a short break.
