Anjo CityJozan-en Garden

Ishikawa Jozan, renowned as a samurai and literary figure of the early Edo period, was born in Anjo City. He spent the latter half of his life at Shisendo Hall, a villa he built in Ichijoji, Kyoto, living a comfortable, independent life dedicated to poetry and refined artistic pursuits.
