The Japanese tradition of encouraging a whole new generation of brave young boys

Oguchi Town Historical Folk Museum holds a now annual special Boys' Day exhibit with heroic dolls portraying generals and warriors as well as earthen dolls and carp streamers gifted to the museum put on display. The carp streamers flutter down the wall like a stunning waterfall.

Plus, this year puts ukiyo-e woodblock prints of Oguchi Town-born warrior and daimyo lord Horio Yoshiharu on display in addition to pieces related to historical figures Hideyoshi and Hidenaga, currently receiving attention for their ressurgence in the Japanese TV drama The Toyotomi Brothers.
Battle camp curtains also are put up in the background with an artificial bonfire at a photography corner, where your little one can put on a battle helmet and jacket for a commemorative picture.

A hands-on section too is available, letting parents and children make their own streamer featuring multiple carp. As if this weren't enough, the mystery-solving warrior training series held with spring rotating exhibits is back as the Warrior Training W program. A history and science fiction version are available with all six of the past programs also ready to take part in.
