Gamagori Natural History Museum Sea of Life
Touch fossils and meteorites, and learn about the evolution of the earth
This natural history museum takes "sea" as its theme, and digs down through the earth's 4.6 billion years of history. It explains the birth of the oceans, the early evolution of life, the evolution of ancient creatures that took place in the oceans, and more. Through exhibits such as a full-body fossil of dinosaurs that is more than 3 meters long, a fossil replica of a 15-meter plesiosaurus and a 855-kg meteorite, you really get to feel the romance of the earth. Workshops and events are held every Saturday and Sunday and on national holidays.
