A festival to thank the Manekineko cats

September 29th is the city of Seto's KURUFUKU Maneki Neko—or Beckoning Cat—Day. Beckon your own luck during the KURUFUKU Maneki Neko Festival in Seto!
All of Seto stops for this amazing celebration of beckoning cats! First and foremost, there's the 100 Japanese Beckoning Cats Exhibition Contest, featuring cat statues by 100 artists selected from open entries. And let's not forget about the delicious Beckoning Cat Lunches which come in a porcelain beckoning cat-shaped bento box, hands-on beckoning cat workshops, cat merchandise available for purchase, and everything else cat-related beloved by all each year.

Access by public transport: Just a brief walk from Owari Seto Station on the Meitetsu Seto Line (board from Sakaemachi Station in Sakae, in turn reachable from Nagoya Station using the Higashiyama Subway Line bound for Sakae and Fujigaoka).

Access by car: • Approx. 10 min. northwest from Seto-Akazu Interchange on the Tokai Loop Expressway via Route 33.
• Approx. 15 min. southwest from Seto-Shinano Interchange on the Tokai-Kanjo Expressway via Route 248.
• Approx. 15 min. north from Yakusa Interchange on Sanage Green Road (Route 6) via Route 155 (accessible via Nisshin Junction on the Tomei Expressway via the Nagoya-Seto Expressway).
