The Atsumi Peninsula Nanohana, or Rape Blossom, Festival is back again this year to announce the arrival of spring!
Feel spring's return for yourself as you enjoy a number of popular photo op spots. Irago Nanohana Garden acts as the main venue and boasts vivid color.
Come see the beautiful hues for yourself as fields of rape blossoms come into bloom, making an unforgettable outing on the beautiful peninsula.

Rape Blossom Eco Project Thanksgiving Festival 2025
This project revitalizes unused farmland through rape blossom cultivation and works toward resource circulation-based local development through the production of rapeseed used in canola oil. Eatable rape blossoms, rapeseed oil lees, rape blossom cookies, and other products are available for purchase while supplies last.

Rape Blossom Tea Party
Enjoy rape blossoms with your five senses with a workshop teaching you how to use the flavors, scents, textures, and sounds in cooking.

Coconuts at the Nanohana Festival

Concert in the Rape Blossom Field
Enjoy a laid-back performance at a rape blossom field during this event. Take in the notes as they flow throughout an expansive field full of the colorful blossoms.

    Access by public transport
    • From Toyohashi Station (board the JR Tokaido Main Line or Meitetsu Nagoya Line from Nagoya Station), take the Toyotetsu Bus's Irago Main Line bound for Cape Irago (approx. 100 min. ride), and get off at Cape Irago. From Cape Irago, take the Nanohana Shuttle Bus to Irago Nanohana Garden.
    • From Mikawatahara Station on the Toyohashi Railways (Toyotetsu) Atsumi Line (board from Shintoyohashi Station, in turn reachable by the JR Tokaido Main Line or Meitetsu Nagoya Line from Nagoya Station), take the Toyotetsu Bus's Irago Main Line bound for Cape Irago (approx. 55-min. ride), and get off at Cape Irago. From Cape Irago, take the Nanohana Shuttle Bus to Irago Nanohana Garden.
    • Cape Irago also reachable by fast passenger boat from Kowa Port (Chita Peninsula), Himakajima and Shinojima islands (Meitetsu Marine Sightseeing Boat), and from Toba City (Mie Prefecture) by ferry (Isewan Ferry).

    Approx. 1 hr. and 20 min. southwest from Toyokawa Interchange on the Tomei Expressway via Routes 151, 247, 23, 2, and 259.

    Also reachable from Toba City (Mie Prefecture) by ferry (Isewan Ferry), then heading east by Route 42.
