Lord Ieyasu Parade
Date: Apr 5,2026(Sun)
A beautiful portrayal of Okazaki's stunning history
This event offers praise to Tokugawa Ieyasu, who through a number of trials and tribulations, unified Japan and laid the foundation for more than 260 years of peace together with his band of warriors. A cast of 700 citizens parade through Ieyasu's birthplace of Okazaki as warriors, princesses, and other characters.
What to see
Lord Tokugawa Ieyasu and his band of warriors galantly parade around the center of Okazaki City accompanied by mounted cavalry. You can even gaze upon a procession by dazzling princesses as well as energetic young warriors and young ladies. As if this weren't enough, the young warriors and young ladies, a matchlock gun brigade, and lancers provide live and seat-gripping performances right on the road where the parades take place.
