Fun for all ages at autumn Toyokawa Inari Shrine
The Toyokawa Inari Shrine Chinza Great Autumn Festival is a means for the people of Toyokawa to give thanks for a bountiful harvest and holds a portable shrine parade as well as a parade of children dressed in ornate costumes.
A giant paper lantern with a height of 10 meters and diameter of five meters is hoisted up in the shrine's premises with a variety of other lanterns both large and small, giving the festival the nickname the "Giant Lantern Festival". The premises also plays host to a national antique market with vendors coming from around Japan, blue tent market, sprawl of Toyokawa Inari Sushi, and various performances.

- From Nagoya Station:
• Take the Tokaido Shinkansen bound for Tokyo and stopping at Toyohashi, get off at Toyohashi Station and board the JR Iida Line. Get off at Toyokawa Station and walk 3 min. northwest.
• Take the JR Tokaido Main Line bound for Toyohashi and Hamamatsu, get off at Toyohashi Station and board the JR Iida Line. Get off at Toyokawa Station and walk 3 min. northwest.
• Take the Meitetsu Nagoya Line bound for Toyohashi, get off at Ko Station and board the Meitetsu Toyokawa Line. Get off at Toyokawa-Inari Station and walk 3 min. northwest.
