Date: Nov 30,2025(Sun)
A clear view of Mt. Fuji on sunny days!
Mt. Miyaji lies in in the western part of Toyokawa City with an elevation of 362 meters above sea level. It has been known since antiquity as a spot to enjoy autumn colors, even mentioned in the famous historic Man'yoshu book of poems. Thousands of Enkianthus nudipes plants are scattered throughout the mountain, and take on warm red and orange hues once fall arrives.
From the peak, you can gaze upon the Mikawa Bay, the city of Toyokawa, and on sunny days, you can even see all the way to Mt. Fuji. Locals keep the hiking trails and rest spaces in ornate condition, making an easy climb even with children.
