The only international women's film festival in Japan
The Aichi International Women's Film Festival brings together films by female directors from around the world and Japan as well as films focused on women and is the only international women's film festival in Japan.
The festival shows films centered on women's lifestyles, a mutual understanding between men and women, and other thought-provoking societal themes in the hopes of realizing a gender-equal society. This festival marks the thirtieth anniversary of the event with not only more diverse guests and talk shows but special 30th anniversary programs.
