Brighter than a full moon, Gamagori's Summer Fireworks are the real deal!
The Gamagori Festival spans two days with an array of different events around Gamagori Station. Spend an entire day at the Gamagori Festival before a little sightseeing in the area.
The Gamagori Festival's main event would have to be its Summer Fireworks display. And the main crowd pleaser is definitely the firework shells with a diameter reaching about 90 centimeters and a stunning weight of nearly 200 kilograms. Shot into the air, they bloom into an unbelievable 650-meter explosion—bigger than Tokyo Sky Tree at 634 meters tall.
These colossal spectacles maintain a reputation as one of the largest fireworks used on the Pacific coast and light up Gamagori's night sky. Three varieties of this behemoth are launched in a single night with musically choreographed, seaborne, and other fireworks displays!
