Cast enamel pots developed by Aichi Prefecture's own long-standing manufacturer

Vermicular

Vermicular is a cast iron enamel cookware manufacturer which emerged from a small, backstreet workshop in 1936 with the aim of creating The World's Foremost Pot to Accentuate Ingredients' True Flavors. Its products offer an unmatched sealing performance born from craftsmen knowing no limits. Vermicular is tireless in its pursuit to realize anhydrous cooking which effortlessly brings out the inherent flavors of ingredients.

Vermicular has gained a renowned reputation today, but many may not know how much work goes into their products. It is said that nearly three years is required to create a product from their over 10,000 item lineup. Cast iron enamel pots are only possible from a limited number of companies around the globe due to their surprisingly difficult manufacture. Creating Vermicular's unsurpassed sealability is truly no mean feat.

Vermicular

Even so, Vermicular trudged through a long trail of trial and error before it was able to finally create The World's Foremost Pot to Accentuate Ingredients' True Flavors in 2010. Word of mouth spread about the flavors possible with anhydrous cooking and its products became such a hit that there was a maximum wait of 15 months before you could get your hands on certain items.

And in 2016, a cast iron enamel pot for cooking rice was combined with the ideal heat source providing automated heat control to create the Vermicular rice pot and its easy, delicious rice cooking. The product was picked up by the various media outlets before sales began, which helped contribute to a total of orders for this hit numbering in the 130 thousands (as of the end of September 2019).
