Fumonji Temple Maple Festival
Date: Nov 21,2025(Fri) ~ Dec 14(Sun)
Offering autumn beauty late into the season
Fumonji Temple boasts 1,300 years of history since its establishment and houses numerous Buddhist statues which are national important cultural properties. This significant temple is known as the Autumn Leaves Temple of Toyohashi and allows you to enjoy the fall leaves late into the season and holds its Maple Festival every year from late November to early December.
Fumonji Temple's previous resident priest followed the example of Mt. Takano's custom of using paper cutouts in religious decorations and began offering hand-cut images of Buddhas with commemorative temple stamps, making Fumonji Temple the first temple to do so.
The JR Tokai × Fumonji Temple program aims to pass along the wonder that is the temple's national important cultural properties via EX Tabisaki reservation system! Check here for details.
