Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium Summer Night Aquarium
Date: Jul 22,2025(Tue) ~ Aug 31(Sun)
The romantic atmosphere of a nighttime aquarium
The Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium holds its annual Summer Night Aquarium from Tuesday, July 22 to Sunday, August 31! During the event period, establishment hours are lengthened to 8:00 pm and South Building's lights are dimmed as low as they can go after 5:00 pm for a heart-thumping romantic aura. Plus, if you enter after 5:00 pm, you'll receive a nearly 20% discount off the regular admission fee.
There are plenty of things that only the Night Aquarium offers, such as the creatures' nocturnal behavior and the relaxing sight of penguins as they slumber. The ever popular evening dolphin performance too is a must-see.
Come and enjoy the aquarium at night—a completely different experience from the regular daytime aquarium!
Nighttime Dolphin Performance
• Location: Stadium, 3rd floor of the North Building
• Uniquely different from the afternoon performance, experience a magical nighttime dolphin performance from the romantically lit stands.
Orca Training
• Location: Stadium, 3rd floor of the North Building
As part of the training, orcas demonstrate powerful jumps and come up to the shallows of the pool. Experience the impressive orca—the king of the ocean—from close range.
Tornado of Sardines
• Location: Large Kuroshio Tank, 2nd floor of the South Building
A tornado of sardines whoosh around with silver scales glimmering as the ever-moving school whirls around the tank.
Romantic Aquarium
• Location: "Marine Life Around Japan" exhibit, 2nd floor of the South Building–"Tropical Marine Life" exhibit, 1st & 2nd floor of the South Building
After 5:00 pm, the South Building's lights are dimmed as low as they'll go, creating a blue world which plays with the contrast between light and shadow. Come enjoy the romantic Night Aquarium!
