49th Anjo Cherry Blossom Festival

One of the foremost flower viewing spots of Anjo

Anjo Park is home to some 170 cherry trees (Somei Yoshino variety) and is one of Anjo City's premier cherry blossom spots.
The park holds its Cherry Blossom Festival in the middle of March each year with crowds coming to take in the botanical beauty both during the day and nighttime with lanterns lit from dusk.
Plus, a sketching contest is held for elementary school students.

Sketch contest

Turn in your sketch of cherry blossoms within the city of Anjo City during the Anjo Cherry Blossom Festival.
• Submission period: Fri, Mar 13–Tue, Apr 7, 2026
• Ages: Children turning elementary school ages from Apr 2026 (children living outside of Anjo may participate)
• How to participate:
　1. Get a sheet of special sketch paper from Anjo City Hall's Commerce and Industry Section or at the local community center. (Available from Thu, Mar 12, 2026.)
　2. Submit your sketch to Anjo City Hall's Commerce and Industry Section or the local community center.
• Awards: First prize awarded to one participant in each elementary school grade (JPY 3,000 library card) / Second prize awarded to seven participants in each elementary school grade (JPY 1,000 library card)
• Participation award: One Denpark admission ticket per participant (sent with results)
• Winning sketch exhibit (tentative): Wed, Jun 3–Mon, Jun 15, 2026
• Exhibit location: Multi-purpose Hall, Denpark
