A Japanese iris illumination

The Japanese Iris Garden of Higashi Park in the city of Okazaki is a 2,900-m² expansive premises featuring 10 thousand irises of nearly 120 varieties. The view is so spectacular that each year people come from far and wide to see the flowers' announcement of the summer season.
Take part in a hands-on greenification workshop or enjoy stage events and a bingo event scheduled to take place Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31.

Access by public transport

From Higashi Okazaki Station on the Meitetsu Nagoya Line (bound the train bound for Chiryu and Toyohashi from Meitetsu Nagoya Station), either walk 40 min. east or take one of the Meitetsu Buses bound for Shimin Byoin Bus Stop (ask the driver at Platform No. 2 of the Bus Terminal on the north side of Higashi Okazaki Station as multiple lines are available), get off at Higashi Koen-Guchi Bus Stop and walk 5 min. (150 m) north.

Approx. 3 min. (800 m) north from Okazaki Interchange on the Tomei Expressway via Route 26.
