Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art is an art gallery which systematically introduces ancient, modern, Eastern and Western art.

The museum is on the 10th floor of Aichi Arts Center, which is next door to Oasis 21 and Sakaemachi subway station. The art gallery covers ancient, modern, Eastern and Western art, including paintings in Japanese and Western styles, sculpture and prints, with a focus on modern to contemporary works.

Particularly emphasized is 20th century art, and the museum has large collections of works by Picasso, Matisse, Klimt, Klee and others.
The collection of Japanese art includes precious works by Yuichi Takahashi, a modern pioneer of Western-style oil paintings, and masterpieces of Japanese art by artists such as Taikan Yokoyama and Shunso Hishida. There are also collections of works by artists with a connection to Aichi Prefecture. Topical exhibitions are also held regularly.

Fee Admission to the collection: Adults 500 (400) yen, high school and university students 300 (240) yen, elementary and junior high school students free (brackets indicate fees for groups of 20 persons or more).
