Toyohashi-City Mukaiyama Greenery Park's Plum Tree Orchard and Spring Festival
Date : 01/31/2025 - 03/16/2025
One of Japan's favorite winter blossoms offer beauty in the cold winter months
Around 400 plum trees of 29 varieties bloom at early, intermediate, and late periods during the season at one of the eastern Mikawa area's largest plum orchards—in an expansive 1.3-hectare area. Located in the urban center of Toyohashi City and only around two kilometers from Toyohashi Station, getting to it is a breeze with public transportation.
A gazebo, benches, and other spots to get off your feet are located around the orchard allowing for easy strolling as you take in the colors. During the Spring Festival, teahouses make an appearance offering tea and sweets. On Tuesday, February 16, when the plum blossoms are at their peak, plum saplings are handed out for free and you can try Toyohashi Tea for even more fun among the beautiful blossoms.
