A starlit sky sure to last a lifetime in your memories

Tsugu Kogen Green Park is surrounded by the grand mountains of the Okumikawa area. Far from the light pollution of cities, the area offers jaw-dropping natural starlight shows in the heavens above.
Star and Forest Terrace, a lodging facility specially created to enjoy the stars, and the Tsugu Kogen Observatory, located near the highest elevation in the prefecture of Aichi, offer an amazing view of the cosmos.

Star and Forest Terrace
Star and Forest Terrace is brimming with the wooden warmth of its log house construction and the surrounding nature. A hearth on the terrace is available year-round for an unforgettable barbeque experience. You can even try stargazing at night with a telescope. And on Saturdays and long holidays from mid-April to mid-November, guests staying the night can enjoy a private stargazing session at Tsugu Kogen Observatory.

Tsugu Kogen Observatory
Tsugu Kogen Observatory is near the highest point in Aichi Prefecture. The main telescope is of Cassegrain construction, measuring a stunning 25 centimeters in diameter with vivid views of the moon, planets, and Milky Way and other galaxies!

• Fee: JPY 410 for adults (junior high school ages and older) / JPY 310 for children (elementary school ages) / Free of charge for preschoolers

Tsugu Kogen Green Park's next-door neighbor is a roadside rest stop filled with seasonal produce and souvenirs. A corner of the facility offers outdoor merchandise perfect for camping in the great outdoors.
