Hirahara Waterfall
Also known as the "Apothecary Waterfall" for its reputation as promoting health and recovery from illness
Hirahara Waterfall was opened by Buddhist priest Jikaku Daishi during the reign of Emperor Seiwa, and for eons has been worshipped as a source of long life and healing of intractable diseases. The waterfall's area is regarded by locals as an ideal location for rest and relaxation and offers a free camp ground, hiking paths, the Mu no Sato rest area, and more.

- Access by public transport
- From Nagoya Station, take the Meitetsu Nagoya Line bound for Chiryu/Toyohashi. At Shin-Anjo Station, change trains to the Meitetsu Nishio Line. Get off at Nishio Station (approx. 60 min. from Nagoya Station to Nishio Station). From Bus Platform No. 3, take the Meitetsu Tobukotsu Bus Nishio–Higashi-Okazaki Line, and get off at Komaba Bus Stop (12 min.). Walk 50 min. (2.9 km) southeast, crossing Etake-cho and Hirahara-cho districts, and following Route 383.
