Living in the Stone Age Rotating Exhibit
at KARIYA City Museum of History
Date: Oct 4,2025(Sat) ~ Nov 16(Sun)
Excavations in Kariya City have unearthed remains from the Paleolithic period to Japan’s ancient Jomon period, which have in turn given up numerous stone tools. Stone tools served as invaluable devices to the everyday lives of those living at that time. These tools were made using rocks procured from the surrounding mountains and rivers, enjoying a variety of changing processing methods and uses as time progressed.
This exhibit showcases the stone tools of Kariya City and Aichi Prefecture, highlighting the master craftsmanship, knowledge, and resource utilization of those living during the Stone Age plus so much more.
