A cultural festival of friendship between people and nature

This market event on the Island of Art, Sakushima Island, brings you items that give a feel for the island's culture. Feast on octopus rice, seaweed shabushabu, and other famous Sakushima Island eats and peruse booths for cute, handmade items. The event's name comes from the pronunciation of "39" being "saku" like in the name of Sakushima Island.

Access by public transport

From Nagoya Station, take the Meitetsu Main Line. Get off at Nishio station and take the Meitetsu Bus's Nishio–Isshiki Line. Get off at the ferry terminal to Sakushima Island and take the sightseeing ferry to Sakushima.

To Isshiki Sakana Hiroba/Sakushima Island
Ferry Terminal: Approx. 35 min. (18.6 km) southeast from Handa Interchange on Chitahanto Road via Routes 34, 52, 265, 247, and 476.
Note: the ferry does not transport cars, please park at Isshiki Sakana Hiroba.
