Inabu Maple Festival
| Date : | Nov 1–Nov 17, 2024 |
Radiant autumn colors thanks to Inabu's stark temperature differences
The Inabu Maple Festival's stage of Oidaira Park is a dazzling spot for fall colors in the Inabu area of eastern Toyota City. About 520 trees, including traditional maples, Japanese maples, and ginkgoes grow along and around the Nagura River. Artistic colors reflect off the river's surface, complemented by the Kaze no Tsuribashi Suspension Bridge, creating unforgettable views and perfect photo ops.
Within the park is a forest of gigantic trees planted around the Tempo period of the Japanese calendar (1831–1845). There are paths for walking and an atmosphere begging you to take a seat and relax as you admire the beauty.
Every year in November, a "Bazaar of Fall Flavors" and other festivities are held during the Inabu Maple Festival. People flock from around Aichi and other locations in Japan for Oidaira Park's unforgettable scenery and delicious local eats, such as gohei mochi, rice cakes on a stick and covered in a sweet miso sauce.
