Obara Kabuki

Toyota City's theatrical tradition: Kabuki

Obara Kabuki is an intangible folk cultural property of Toyota City, with showings twice a year on the last Sunday of May and Sunday at the end of October.
On Sunday at the end October, the Obara Kabuki performance coincides with the Obara Cultural Festival, held with local artistic presentations and pieces on display at the Obara Community Center.

    From Nagoya Station, take the Higashiyama Subway Line. Get off at Fushimi station and take the Tsurumai Subway Line. Get off at Toyotashi Station and take the Toyota Oiden Bus's Obara Line bound for Kaminigi. Get off at Eitaro Bus Stop and walk 2 min.

    Exit at the Tokai-Kanjo Expressway's Toyota Fujioka Interchange or Sanage Green Road's Nakayama Interchange and drive on Route 419 for 15 km toward Mizunami.
