Sanzoro Festival
Date: Nov 8,2025(Sat)
An entertaining traditional dance
The Sanzoro Festival is held annually on the second Saturday of November. The festival is a unique one with the mythical seven gods of fortune soaking bamboo grass in hot water and sprinkling the water on worshippers, and a trivet is set in the middle of the event area around which the gods dance. Although there is no discernible pattern in the gods' dance, the customary stopping for questioning by the gods to the senior priest is an always-present feature.
