One of Kariya's biggest summer festivals
The Kariya Wansaka Festival is one of the city of Kariya's largest festivals with 100 thousand people coming in past years. The festival is filled with stage shows, hands-on attractions, a fireworks display, and other fun events offering good times to both children and adults alike.
The 2025 festival takes place over two days with the evening of Friday the 15th holding the Kariya Bon Dance Festival with a free-for-all communal bon dance before the main festival on Saturday the 16th with the stage shows, hands-on events, and more. But you definitely can't miss the spectacle which paints Kariya's sky in vivid colors during the stunning fireworks display. And for this year's 75th anniversary, a drone show adds to the celebration.
