Kira Fireworks Festival
Date: Sep 20,2025(Sat)
Sky and ocean come together in this amazing display of pyrotechnics
Miyazaki Fishing Harbor acts as the stage for the Kira Fireworks Festival, a display with sequenced fireworks as well as a number of other airborne and mechanized fireworks.
This festival also served as a festival for Tsushima Jinja Shrine from the Edo period to the Meiji period. Fishermen and others working on the water used the festival as a means of prayer for a bountiful haul and safety among the waves. This is said to be the origin of the famous Gion Festivals held around Japan and the Kira Fireworks Festival has the beauty to back up this claim with the incredible beauty of the Mikawa Bay. Enjoy approximately 3,000 fireworks from an incredibly close range in this fireworks festival of unmatched beauty.
