A look into the home of a wealthy, oceanside ship dealing family

The Takita Residence was once the home of a powerful shipping dealer from the Edo period to the Meiji period in Tokoname City, located on Aichi Prefecture's Chita Peninsula. Enjoy the restored and maintained residence originally built in 1850 and open to the public as of April 2000.
You can also enjoy exhibits like the Takita Residence's furnishings; valuable, tall standing lanterns; Japanese-style ship models; and navy historical displays which change by season.
