The Gran Prix of chicken wings—Winner takes all!

Nagoya is Japan's birthplace of deep-fried tebasaki, or chicken wings, so what better place to hold the top competition for tebasaki chefs—started in Nagoya's Atsuta Ward—than the city of Nagoya! These tasty treats make their way from all over Japan with nothing but their flavors to get them to the podium as eventgoers have the vote for the World's Best Tebasaki. Hall-of-famers too make an appearance at this finger-licking festival held in Hisaya-Odori Park.

Simultaneously held Neo Sakae Fest

Neo Sakae Fest

Angel Square to the north of Hisaya-Odori Park also hosts the Neo Sakae Fest, a student group-led event held to help energize the area. The pinnacles of the street basketball world go head to head in the Somecity 2days Tournament while 120 booths make up a flea market with items for sale and musical and DJ performances add to the festival spirit.
