Odai Park
A town park brimming with nature
Odai Park is a municipal park with a total area of 12.1 hectares making the most of its surrounding nature. The verdant park is beloved by townspeople as a natural paradise to enjoy a myriad of flowers, wild birds, and insects. Enjoy the change from season to season with a medicinal tree and herb garden featuring around 100 varieties of trees and around 60 varieties of herbs. You can also enjoy the blossoms of weeping plum trees, cherry trees, and irises as well as the beauty of Onibasu Pond, where endangered onibasu, or prickly water lilies (Euryale ferox), are cultivated. The mini golf course, BBQ area, and Fun Cycling Square are other draws. And since you're here, don't forget to snap a couple shots of the stained glass decorations at the hall located in the middle of the park.
