This year's Golden Week holidays at Nagoya Castle saw huge crowds flocking to Nagoya's beloved landmark to catch a last glimpse of the Tenshu tower. Amidst this commotion, Tokugawa Ieyasu's Hattori Hanzo and The Ninjas team introduced to the public its newest member, Kocho, a Lady Ninja who, incredibly enough, was a real boxing fighter!
Nagoya Castle is their home!
The team's costumes were also renewed and the choreography is revamped. For the upcoming years, even without the Tenshu tower, Nagoya Castle will continue to have its charm, now maybe enhanced by the imminent inauguration of the remaining sections of Honmaru Goten Palace, the new Kinshachi Yokocho Gourmet Galleries, and the Ninja Team with its newest member!
Improving Acrobatics
The new choreography employs a trampoline which allows for even more impressive acrobatics.
Governor's Blessings
Aichi Governor Hideaki Omura was present to make the new team's debut official.
Kids Special - Ninja Dance!
Near the end of the ceremony, it was time for the kids at the venue to have a blast with the Ninja Dance!
True Aichi Celebrities
Even the TV staff wanted to take pictures with the ninjas!
