Life-size mannequin performers waiting to please you

Life-size kabuki mannequins are rare around Japan, but you can see them at Takahama Teahouse Yoshiki, ready to perform. Sculptors created 110 mannequins in the recreation of an Edo-period kabuki theater with those on stage actually moving during the show. Enjoy your trip back in time to see just what a night at the theater might have looked like in Edo Japan.

Access by public transport: From Kariya Station on the JR Tokaido Line or Chiryu Station on the Meitetsu Nagoya Line, change to the Meitetsu Mikawa Line, riding it to Yoshihama Station. The establishment is a 3-min. walk from the station.

Access by car: Approx. 20 min. from Higashiura Chita Interchange on Chitahanto Road from Odaka Interchange on Route 23 from Nagoya Expressway.
