Fun and beauty packed into a one-day maple festival

A little-known gem of fall colors lies along the way to Kuroda Dam: the Takadoya Wetlands. The area holds a Maple Festival lasting but one day with plenty of local festivities such as free soup (600 bowls available while supplies last); a drawing for local, delicious Mineasahi brand rice; and more. Take a stroll around the area's pond—it's simply breathtaking!
