The Takeshima Coast is a popular clamming spot with around 30,000 people coming from around Aichi Prefecture and even from all over Japan each year. Takeshima Island, located about 400 meters offshore, is designated a natural monument and is another popular draw to the area.
At this incredible location, you'll find plenty of quality and meaty littleneck clams with a soft mouthfeel and sense of sweetness. Get your fill along the Takeshima Coastline, easy to find even for children. Play in the sand and mud with the possible encounter with hermit crabs and their larger cousins.

Access by public transport: Approx. 15-min. walk from JR Gamagori Station, reachable from JR Nagoya Station or an approx. 5-min. bus ride on the Meitetsu Bus.
