Heartwarming in the chilly winter night

Yukimi Kaido Inabu Snow Street celebrates its 15th year in 2026. The illumination of handmade snow and ice lanterns flickers among the frosty night scape of Toyota City's Inabu area. While the event is held during the brisk winter evening, the atmosphere created by the Yukimi Kaido Inabu lanterns is truly heartwarming. Take in the surreal aura also offered by wooden lampshades created from wood received from thinning the surrounding forests.
And while Inabu, located in the northeasternmost region of Aichi, becomes quite chilly during winter, you can enjoy the Soup-1 Grand Prix event held while the lanterns are lit. Taste a variety of warm soups as the participating vendors compete for the title of "Most Delicious"—decided upon by each diners' vote.
Inabu is full of winter fun, so make a day of it and enjoy the expansive natural scenery as well as the hot spring spa and other delights at nearby roadside Donguri no Sato Inabu Rest Stop!
